Indication-
It is considered to be best among digestive stimulants, that are digestives& curative for flatulence.
When taken with honey it works as fat reducing agent.

In sciatica pepper powder should be taken with Castor oil& Gaumutra(urine of cow).
In gastric ulcers Ghrut treated with decoction& paste of Pippali should be given with honey& milk.
A special treatment in which the medicine dose is increased in daily basis, known as Vardhamana Pippali Rasayana ; is indicated in splenomegaly
